About us

129gallery is a contemporary art gallery that focuses on new media work and was located on 129 Emserstraße in the district of Neukölln. The Gallery was founded and run by Robin Löhr and Arthur Patching, it was active during the years 2011 - 2013, where it showed the work of 110 artists. Due to the rising rent and change of situation we had to leave and it remained inactive until 2020.

129Gallery is now temporarily housed at Western Comfort Hostelboat. Moored on the River Spree in the heart of Berlin, Western Comfort Hostelboat sits amid the vibrant Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg districts, just 10 m from the remains of the Berlin Wall. Warschauer Straße S-Bahn (city rail) station is just a 10-minute walk from the venue.

The Gallery focuses on international artists that utilise Video Art, Sound Art and Installation to nourish One’s soul.

129Gallery visitors will find an approachable gallery with an dynamic and exciting programme of Exhibitions and Cultural Events including Live Music, DJ Sets, Performance Art, Film Screenings, Poetry and Book Readings.
